What Next - Barbara MosesFocus on what you are affirming in your choices, rather than what you are giving up. In thinking about work-life balance, people describe making trade-offs, for example "I'm going to work fewer hours and trade-off my career to spend more time with my kids". The language of trade offs, though, emphasises the negative rather than the positive – what you are losing rather than what you are liberating. Instead of talking about making trade-offs, think "trade-ons".
